Celebrating Fall

Well, this morning my friend Rachel called saying she felt sick and could not come over with her son and play....every Tuesday we get together and talk and let the kids play. This morning after letting Kendra play outside in the water I thought it would be fun to have Kendra help make cookies. And wow what a big help she was! She poured the flour into the mixer and loved rolling out the dough. She had fun stamping out pumpkins and leaves. We have to celebrate FALL coming tomorrow! Maybe if we do it will get cooler, or not! :) Enjoy the pictures and we love you all!

Aptos & Santa Cruz Trip

Well, my cousin Jessica got married this weekend on 9/11/10 in Aptos, California. Lyndon and Kendra had never seen the Redwoods so we took a hiking trip. These are only a few pictures of the trip since Grandma Costello has not shared her pictures with me yet.

On Friday we went to Santa Cruz and played on the beach, walked on the boardwalk, and interacted with the very loud and large sea lions. Kendra loved them until she started crying after seeing a sea lion throw up and someone said the sea lion was sick. She felt bad for the sea lion and Grandma Costello had to explain that they do that sometimes and that he was not sick. :) After that she was fine.

On Saturday we stayed around the resort and played at the park with some of my extended family and got to visit with my cousins before the wedding. Then we went to the wedding and tried to stay warm. :) Kendra loved the m&ms at the table....she had devoured them before the dinner was even served.

On Sunday we hiked and saw the Redwoods. Kendra kept pointing up and seeing how high the trees were...there are none that big around us. :) We flew back home that same evening and are glad to be back in our own beds.

We had a fun time with family and I know Granddad and Grandma Costello enjoyed seeing Kendra the most! :)

Kendra and Lyndon are standing next to the tree that was called "The Advocate" the largest in the park with a circumference of 45 feet. (Always remember that Christ was the Great Advocate....thought it was cool that the largest tree in the park was named the Advocate!)

And yes I "hugged a tree" - just demonstrating how large they are!!

Memorial Day Weekend in Sedona

We went to Sedona for the weekend to get out of the heat and see Uncle Keith on Bell Tour. Granddad & Grandma Leonard came with us and we had a great time hiking and hanging out at the pool. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

I told Lyndon to take this picture because I was afraid I would not be able to carry her all the way out, but I did!

First Easter Egg Hunt

Kendra and I went with our neighbors to an Easter Egg Hunt. A couple of women get together with their kids once a month and have a get together....this time it was for Easter. Kendra is one of the youngest but held her own at getting the eggs. The only problem was that the first egg she grabbed, she opened and discovered there were goldfish crackers inside.....and she decided to stand and eat them rather than look for more. :) Here are a few pics from the Easter Egg Hunt that happened on Friday.

Notice the sneak attack to grab Nora's (our next door neighbor) eggs!

See how Kendra is looking at Nora as she snatches some...she ended up dumping them out and started putting them in her bucket! :)
(Next time I post pictures it will be after our Branson trip over Easter.)
Everyone have a Happy Easter!
Below is proof to Grandma Costello that the outfit she got her fits! :) Time at the park!
