Aptos & Santa Cruz Trip

Well, my cousin Jessica got married this weekend on 9/11/10 in Aptos, California. Lyndon and Kendra had never seen the Redwoods so we took a hiking trip. These are only a few pictures of the trip since Grandma Costello has not shared her pictures with me yet.

On Friday we went to Santa Cruz and played on the beach, walked on the boardwalk, and interacted with the very loud and large sea lions. Kendra loved them until she started crying after seeing a sea lion throw up and someone said the sea lion was sick. She felt bad for the sea lion and Grandma Costello had to explain that they do that sometimes and that he was not sick. :) After that she was fine.

On Saturday we stayed around the resort and played at the park with some of my extended family and got to visit with my cousins before the wedding. Then we went to the wedding and tried to stay warm. :) Kendra loved the m&ms at the table....she had devoured them before the dinner was even served.

On Sunday we hiked and saw the Redwoods. Kendra kept pointing up and seeing how high the trees were...there are none that big around us. :) We flew back home that same evening and are glad to be back in our own beds.

We had a fun time with family and I know Granddad and Grandma Costello enjoyed seeing Kendra the most! :)

Kendra and Lyndon are standing next to the tree that was called "The Advocate" the largest in the park with a circumference of 45 feet. (Always remember that Christ was the Great Advocate....thought it was cool that the largest tree in the park was named the Advocate!)

And yes I "hugged a tree" - just demonstrating how large they are!!
